Course Unit Description

This course introduces the UNIX operating system as a basic environment for information handling and software development. It covers the UNIX file system, job control, and processes using both the C shell and Korn shell, common UNIX utilities (sed, awk, grep), UNIX networking utilities, piping and redirection, and an introduction to shell programming.
