MED3101: Infectious diseases

This course covers the aetiology, epidemiology and pathology of infectious diseases and the diagnostic techniques. The clinical pharmacology of antimicrobial agents is discussed.

• To describe the epidemiology and pathogenesis of common infectious diseases
• To describe the pathological and clinical features of infectious diseases 
• To describe laboratory and imaging techniques used in the diagnosis of infectious diseases
• To explain the clinical pharmacology of drugs used in infectious diseases
