MED: Advanced clinical medicine

This is a senior clerkship course. Students will spend most of the time on the ward managing patients under supervision. Emphasis will be put on good patient management plans for common medical conditions, selection of suitable investigations and appropriate drug therapies.  
 
Course objectives 
By the end of the course students should be able to; 

• demonstrate skills in managing medical problems 
• discuss the importance of investigations to patient management 
• apply the principles of pharmacotherapy to patient care
