BPM1206 Logistics in Supply Chain Management

The program provides an introduction to some of the very basic aspects of logistics and Supply chains in general. It also examines the main modes of transport and the freight costs involved, with specific emphasis to a global perspective.

Course Objectives
This course is intended to:

• Introduce students to the basics of logistics management
• Appreciate the historical developments of logistics management
• Appreciate the role of effective logistics management in managing supply chains
• Help students know the key trends affecting logistics management
