IDE8206: Thesis Research

In preparation of the thesis, students will be taught how to refine the bits and pieces they will have develop during the previous courses into a research proposal that covers all aspects of the scope of the thesis. The proposals will be discussed in research seminars. The proposal must be approved by the supervisor before planned field work for the thesis can be undertaken. It shall fulfil all the aspects of the thesis described in section V.  
 
Aim  
The overall aim of this programme is to have Students conduct independent research, report results and discuss findings in an academically accepted scientific manner. 
 
Course objectives  

• At the end of this research, Students will be able to have independent research project with minimal supervision. 

 
Expected course outcome 

• Research skills. 
• Independent inquiry.
