Course Unit Description
Origin and evolution of agricultural: actors of Agricultural production: land, labour, capital and time. Agricultural location theory; a survey of major Agricultural regions of the world; problems of pricing and marketing of Agricultural commodities; the role of government policy in Agricultural development. Factors affecting Agriculture in Africa and Uganda. The state of food production and supply in Uganda; Agricultural planning.
Objectives of Course
- To examine the importance of agriculture in the overall economy and as source of food for mankind
- To study the organization and economics of agriculture
- To explore different agricultural policies, problems, of marketing and pricing and factors affecting agricultural production in Africa and Uganda
