ENT3201 Taxation Management
Course Unit Description
The course gives fundamental information about the basic principles and issues of taxation. The course also examines the various tax and revenue processes in respect of the various taxes imposed by the central government.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
- Compute LST, HST and be able to demonstrate the operation of customs ware housing and management
- Compute taxes in form of Corporate Tax, employment tax, property tax and consumption taxes while following the relevant statutory provisions in the Income Tax Act 1997 (for Uganda's case and other guides/circulars/statutes from Uganda Revenue Authority.
- Plan & manage taxation affairs of different eligible tax paying persons by taking on the advantage of the provisions in the Uganda's Income Tax Act 1997.
