Use of literature in language teaching:  use of oral literature, poetry, tongue twisters, folk     stories, fables, proverbs, riddles, legends, play lets/skits, short stories. Elements of drama, characterization, plot, themes/thought, language, dramatic techniques, light and sound effects, props and costumes. Reading and appreciating of one African play and one non-African play.
