Course Unit Description

This Course introduces concepts of Information and Communications Technology in the changing world and how information communication is influencing the way business is run and day in day out technology is becoming the life blood of the organization. 

Course Objectives

The major objective of this course is to equip the learner with the theoretical knowledge of Information communications Technologies. 

Specific Objectives 
The objectives of this unit are:

  • To enable the learner to compete favourably in the dynamic technology –based business world, 
  • To help business students fit adequately in the information economy.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, the learner should be able;

  • To demonstrate the theoretical knowledge gained from information and communication technology applications. 
  • To understand the common hardware and software applications, the needed for outsourcing services, 
  • To identify the storage devices and also gain an understanding of information security
  • Apply basic computer knowledge to solve problems related to hardware and software
  • Use basic Ms Word and Excel knowledge to do their work.
