Course Unit Description

The student shall get an over view of how African theology has come about by studying it in depth. 

Course Objectives
By the end of the study, students should be able to:

  • Define theology in the African context
  • Explain the types of African theologies
  • Analyze the sources and approaches of African theology.
  • Appreciate the role of African theory in human’s religious life

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the training, the participants should be able to:

  • Describe reasons for the slow progress and stagnation of African theology 
  • Compare and contrast the main African theologies
  • To apply principles of theology to the current religious cults
