Course Unit Description

The student shall be introduced into the study of Old Testament. They shall know how the Old Testament writings came into being and be able to place all Old Testament texts into their general historical and cultural context.

Course Objectives
By the end of the study, the student should be able to:

  • Identify the authentic books of the Old Testament
  • Describe the major divisions in the Old Testament
  • Interpret the theology of the Old Testament
  • Analyze the teaching of the old testament in relation to its application to the modern society

Learning Outcomes

  • By the end of the study, learners shall be enable to interpret any given Old Testament text with the help of Bible, dictionary, concordances and other tools
