Course Unit Description
This course introduces the student to the concepts and principles of commercial e-business and e-commerce programming. The unit explores the purposes and approaches in using scripting and mark-up languages in relation to the client-server paradigm. Basic database terminology is introduced. The roles of server-side and client-side code together with web service strategies are examined.
Course Objectives
This course unit is meant to teach students:
- The scripting languages and what they can do
- How to use scripting languages to develop dynamic web-portals
- Build database-driven website
Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course unit, students should be able to:
