Course Unit Description
In this course the learners will learn about the structures and anatomy of angiosperm roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. Structure and development of the shoot apex. Plant growth and development.
Course objectives
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
- Describe the structure and function of Angiosperm and tissue structures
- Compare and contrast the structures and functions of the vascular, support and reproductive systems among the angiosperms
- Describe experiments elucidating growth and development of angiosperms
- Identify significant internal and external features of angiosperm plants
Expected outcomes
- Graduates who can work in fields dealing with plants, crop physiology or crop breeding.
