Course Unit Description
This course looks at animal breeding, animal health, disease control and welfare and reproductive physiology and artificial insemination.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand the role of genetics and breeding in improvement of livestock.
- Understand the significance of preventing and controlling diseases in livestock for sustaining and improving production as well as for ensuring public health.
- Understand the role of and seek for artificial insemination in improvement of livestock.
